An Unfoggy Day in California

So the whole time I'm looking forward to being in California I see they're getting hammered with rain. I've had enough of winter. I've seen more snow this year than in my whole life! (Just the beginning, as pictured to the right) Then it looks like the weather will change as soon as I arrive. What convenient timing! It's usually foggy here, but today is perfect. I'll tell you something: sunshine in the middle of February is very nice indeed.

The planes were great. On the first plane, I made friends with the lady sitting next to me. Pauleen, a Pampered Chef saleswoman from everywhere, USA. What a friendly lady! I asked for a product brochure and received one, so if anyone needs new cookware... Anyway, on the left there is a picture of my view on the plane.

But really, not much but snow was outside until we got to Fresno. You'll never believe it, but they're already doing some farming here! The plum trees are flowering and the cherry trees are budding. I'll show you guys that tomorrow.

I must tell you, while it was a little overwhelming to do this on my own, it was really nice! For example, when I got to Salt Lake, I got a smidge confused about which terminal I was supposed to go to (I won't elaborate, to protect my reputation of unwaivering perfection). In my misadventure, I got to have a cinnabon and walk it off, arriving at the correct terminal in time to start studying my Watchtower lesson! Now that's cool, right? I can imagine my dad in that situation (sorry, dad) and it wouldn't have been so fun...

I got off the second plane in Fresno, welcomed by a very amiable sign. The picture doesn't do it justice, the thing was huge! Anyway, in just a few minutes I see my long-lost sister, here to pick me up and the craziness begins. I can't wait to see Jeremiah and Sandra again, and I can't wait to meet Liz's mom, Bertha!

Liz tells me we're going to a dance lesson tonight...salsa! I don't know how to salsa (yet) so I'm excited! Until then, I guess that's all I've got to tell you.

Les Amo,
Kate
